Garner 1917 death

An old highly esteemed resident of Welland in the person of Charles Arthur Garner, passed away Sunday at his home, 183 Regent Street, aged 59 years, 7 months and 2 days. Deceased was born in Stamford and came to Welland on Feb 11,  1892. For 21 years he was in the employ of the Ross Co., He was Liberal in politics, a member of the Presbyterian church and a charter member of the C.O.F.. for about two years he has been in failing health. Deceased is survived by a widow and two sons E. Roy and Norman D. of Welland and one brother John and four sisters, Mrs E. Misener, Mrs G.B. Stuart, Mrs George Melrose and Mrs S. Black, all of Niagara Falls.

The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon under the auspices of the C.O.F.. Service will be conducted at the house at 2 o’clock and interment in Woodlawn cemetery.
