   I came across an old book with a certificate & letter addressed to a Mr. Chas. N. Caughey
   from Welland Ontario dated March 18th 1907.

   The certificate is for a International Correspondence School in Scranton PA and the letter is
   from the same.

   There are several listings for the Caughey family on the Welland Public Library genealogy database. If you wish to investigate further, i suggest you contact the library at http://www.welland.library.on.ca and I am sure they can help you. There is a Charles Caughey death listed in 1917 that might be of interest, as well as his marriage to Miss Hall in 1905 and births. Hope this helps.
