Fleming 1917 death
The death of Mrs Sophia Fleming occurred on Monday March 12th, 1917, at the age of 82 years. Mrs Fleming had suffered acutely for the past 35 years. For the past month she had not been conscious but the end was very peaceful, passing away in her sleep. The funeral service was held at her late residence on Victoria Street conducted by the Rev. D. Russell Smith. Two hymns, “Rock of Ages” and “Nearer My God to Thee” were sung. Interment took place at Overholt’s Cemetery.
