Tuft-Nettle 1917 marriage

A quiet wedding was solemnized at the Rectory, Welland, on Thursday, Jan 25 at 1 o’clock by the Rev. Mr Thompson, when Miss Mary L. Nettle was united in marriage to Mr George E. Tuft both of Crowland. The bride wore a beautiful suit of gold Chartreuse poplin with becoming hat to match and carried a large boquet of carnations and maiden-hair ferns. Miss Dora Reaker, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, while Mr Tom Sibbett attended the groom.. After the ceremony dinner was served at the home of the bride. Mr and Mrs Tuft left at 3.45 for a trip to New York City and on their return they will reside in their home in Crowland.
